About Our Wild Dog
Our Wild Dog is a non-profit rescue and rehabilitation centre dedicated to helping injured, abandoned, and vulnerable dogs across Sri Lanka.
Many street dogs face daily challenges, including injury, illness, neglect, and unsafe living conditions. Without intervention, many of these animals have little chance of recovery. Our work exists to change that.
We provide a safe place where dogs can receive medical treatment, proper care, and the time they need to heal. Every dog that comes through our orphanage is treated with patience, dignity, and compassion.
Beyond rescue, our focus is on long-term outcomes. We aim to rehabilitate each dog and place them into responsible, loving homes wherever possible. For those that require ongoing care, we ensure they remain safe, supported, and looked after.

Rescue
We rescue dogs that have been injured, neglected, or abandoned. Our team works to bring vulnerable animals into a safe environment where they can begin their recovery.

Veterinary Care
Many dogs arrive requiring medical attention, often with Injuries, infections, and untreated illnesses. Through veterinary treatment, medication, and rehabilitation, we help dogs recover their health and regain their strength.

Shelter & Recovery
Our orphanage provides a caring and secure environment where rescued dogs can rest and recover. They receive daily care, food, medical supervision, and the time they need to rebuild trust.

Adoption
Once a dog has fully recovered, we work to place them in responsible and loving homes. Adoption is the most rewarding part of our work. Every successful adoption creates space for another rescue dog to receive help.
